FAQ

  • Who is this a service for?

This service is meant for everyone around the globe in need of improving their physics. As long as you have an understanding in the English or Latvian language and if my offered schedule works for you, I’d be more than happy to have you! Please note that you must be 13 years of age or older to book a session.

  • I couldn't connect to the ZOOM call? What should I do?

If you experience technical issues and cannot join the Zoom session at the scheduled time, please contact me as soon as possible at andrewsphysics@gmail.com.

If the issue was out of your control (e.g., Zoom outage, internet failure), and you notify me promptly, I may offer a reschedule at my discretion.

However, if there is no communication within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time, the session will be considered missed, and no refund or rescheduling will be offered.

To avoid this, please test your Zoom setup and internet connection before each session. I'm always happy to help if you reach out in time!

  • Can I try a session before committing?

Yes! I offer a free first session so you can get to know my teaching style and see if it’s the right fit for you—no strings attached. It’s a chance for us to talk about your goals, assess your current level, and get hands-on with a topic you’re interested in.

Whether you’re preparing for an exam or just need help with a tricky concept, I want you to feel confident before committing to regular lessons.

  • What subjects or topics do you cover?

I specialize in physics, mathematics, and selected areas of electrical engineering for students aged 13 and above. Each lesson is tailored to your needs—whether you're aiming for exam success, need help with a tough problem, or just want to better understand a topic.

    Physics:

Classical Mechanics (motion, forces, energy, momentum)

    Electricity & Magnetism

    Waves & Sound

    Thermodynamics

    Modern Physics (relativity, quantum basics)

    Exam preparation (IGCSE, A-levels etc.)

    Mathematics:

    Algebra & Functions

    Geometry & Trigonometry

    Calculus (limits, derivatives, integrals)

    Statistics & Probability

    Word problems and applied math

Exam prep (GCSE, SAT Math, etc.)

    Electrical Engineering:

Electrical Components (resistors, diodes, transformers, etc.)

Circuit Analysis (Thevenin’s theorem, power calculations, three-phase systems, complex number analysis)

Functional Circuit Behavior (analysis of common circuits)

Digital Logic (logic gates and basic logic circuit design)

House Electrical Wiring Principles (wiring layouts, breakers, safety considerations, and real-life applications)

Microcontrollers & Basic Programming (Arduino or similar platforms, using code to control simple circuits and devices)

If you're unsure whether your topic is included, just reach out—I’m happy to confirm and help where I can!

  • Can I cancel or reschedule my session?

Yes, you can cancel or reschedule a session—life happens! Just make sure to do it at least 24 hours in advance. This helps me keep things organized and offer that slot to someone else who might need it.

If you cancel late or miss a session without notice, it may count as used, and a refund might not be possible (unless there's a valid reason). I try to be understanding, but clear communication is key!

  • Can adults take lessons too?

Absolutely. My tutoring is open to learners of all ages, including adults. Whether you're revisiting physics or math after a break, studying for a certification, switching careers, or just learning for personal interest—you're more than welcome.

Lessons are tailored to your background, pace, and goals. No pressure, no prior knowledge required—just curiosity and the willingness to learn!
